My Favorite 2023 Amazon Finds- so far!

As much as I hate to admit it, Amazon really does have some of the best products, or at least the most extensive collection of products. Here are the things I bought so far in 2023 (as of April).

I used to be a hard-core proponent of Popsockets, like these.

A few years ago my Popsocket fell off and I needed to find a new one. I ran across these phone loops and figured I would give them a try. I love it! And the best part is, I can lay my phone flat, which is great for using a phone stand (I have this one and I love it). I recently got a new phone, so I needed to get a new case and new phone loop. My old case was gross and old, but the phone loop held up for over 3 years.

Portable door security

I got these two items to make myself feel better both at home and when traveling.

Both are great ways to lock a door from the inside. You can feel safer at a hotel, AirB&B, or even at home.

Calm strips

I stick these everywhere for when I need a tactile moment. I am a notorious nail-biter/picker, so anything that can keep my fingers occupied is a great thing.

Embroidery Floss

I bought this embroidery floss on a whim to protect my earbuds. I sometimes fall asleep listening to my phone so I end up destroying the headphones, sometimes just after a few months. I did the method that, if you were a Girl Scout, you will be familiar with: Click here to read exactly how to make the bracelet version.

Micron pens

I used these pens in college for my design and drawing classes. I felt the itch after seeing a TikTok (surprise surprise) to start again. I traced dry beans to create the overall shape, and then just randomly started tracing and coloring in shapes from there.

Lead Swab

I saw a TikTok about old plates having lead in them. Most of my plates are a set from my Grandma from the 1970s, so I ran over to Amazon to get these lead-testing strips. Good news, my plates are lead-free.

Of course, these are not fool-proof, FYI.

Measuring Cups

I bought these to scoop my dog’s food actually. I only needed one of them obviously so I just use the other ones for cooking for myself. The color is fun (I got teal) and they seem to be good quality so far (much better than the ones I have been toting around since college!)

Cake Stand

I bought this cake stand for my partner’s birthday so we could make a cake. It is surprisingly sturdy and of good quality (and it spins!)

Yeti Mic

This is an amazing microphone if you want to do podcasts, videos, or voiceovers.

Computer mouse

An ergonomic mouse to reduce hand and wrist pain. It took some time to get used to, but eventually I grew to love it and I have much less hand pain.

So, there you have it. The weirdest, most random things I bought on Amazon since the beginning of the year. Let me know in the comments below your great Amazon finds.
